The annual meeting of the Friends of Samuels Library will be held on Thursday, September 7th at 6:30 p.m. Following a brief bit of business the Friends will host a “Meet and Greet” for the Library’s incoming Director, Harold Hayes. There will be light refreshments and a chance to mingle with members of the Library and Friends Boards.

Meet Harold Hayes
Mr. Hayes comes to Samuels Library with more than 23 years of broad experience in library management. He worked at libraries in Washington and Wyoming, before taking on the 11-branch Douglas County system in Oregon. The county recently closed its libraries leaving Harold ready for a new adventure here in Warren County.
Mr. Hayes prefers a rural, small town environment and is looking forward to a chance to be actively involved with the library patrons and the larger community.
The staff, volunteers and Boards of both the library and the FOSL are looking forward to this next chapter for Samuels Library.
